Monochrome Floral Ring

I was about to make another bracelet to go with the ones from yesterday and found myself making this ring instead.

It's the same principle as the bracelets and they go really well together.

This time I used a glass flower bead instead of acrylic or clay, so it lays flat against the finger.  I cheated a little as it's not completely white - more of an opal effect - but it came out of a monochrome bead mix, so it still counts!

It's elasticated like the bracelets, so it should fit whichever finger you chose to wear it on.

Monochrome Floral Bracelets

I seem to have developed an addiction to glass pearls and lucite flower beads lately, so I thought why not combine them?

I'm not usually a fan of polymer clay.  I mean, I appreciate the effort that must go into making things with it, but the end results never seem to go with my style of jewellery making.  That was until I saw these roses over at Jilly Beads.

Arabian Nights Bracelet

Our last bracelet of the week.  I've had these packs of really pretty beads mixes from Jilly Beads just sitting in my collection for ages.  I keep saying to myself - one of these days I'll make a quick bracelet or a pretty necklace - and nothing happened.  Well today is one of those days.

I tried picking up random beads, but the OCD part of my brain didn't like that, so it's in a repeating pattern that still manages to look random.  I hung a beaded dangle from each end to give it an extra feature.

The beads are in lovely jewel tones - Jade greens, emerald greens, ruby reds, sapphire blues and amethyst purples - with the occasional flash of copper and bronze, so I can see it being a really good look for the Autumn.

It's on memory wire, so you can just wrap it around your wrist.

Rose & Violet Crème Set

Rose and violet are such delicate flavours, I thought it best to keep this set simple.

The necklace is comprised of alternating pink and parma violet coloured glass pearls.  Then there is the pink glas flower for a pendant.

The earrings are just two of the pearls hanging from nickel fre earwires.

The bracelet is on a coil of memory wire, with flower spacers.  Please note: In future versions, the "rose" pearls may differ than those shown. :)

Sugared Almonds Set

I found these pastel colored, drop shaped glass pearls and thought they'd be perfect to represent sugared almonds:

 I attached the glass pearls to four lengths of gold and silver cable chain.

 The earrings are the glass pearls on gold chain hung from oxidized brass filigree connectors.  The earwires are gold plated so they should be suitable for those with nickel allergies. If you do find them uncomfortable, however; try coating the earwires with clear nail varnish. :)

 The bracelet is a bit different, as the glass pearls are spaced by gold beads on silver chain.  The bracelet will require measurements. :)

Blackberries & Raspberries Set

Whether you prefer the jelly version (like I do) or the bobbly version (like my mom does), or just love the berries themselves, then this set is for you:

Blackberries and Raspberries Set

 The necklace follows a similar style to the Beelzebub Necklace, only I used glass pearls instead of acrylic beads.  Instead of creating bead point focals, I decided hanging "berries" was more appropriate.

 The earrings follow the same style, however the earwires are black plated so they're not suitable for nickel allergy sufferers (Tip: If you do have a nickel allergy and still want these earrings, try coating the earwires with clear nail varnish.  Or email me if you would prefer the silver nickel-free ones).

 I've tested out my new memory wire for rings.  I've tried to keep it adjustable, so it should fit any size finger.  I've made the stopper loops on either side as small as possible so they don't irritate your other fingers while wearing it.

 The bracelets always seem to stump me, but I decided to go for another cuff style.  This will have to be custom fitted, so I'll ask you for your wrist measurements. :)

Peppermint Cream Set

I love peppermint creams!  The ones made by Fry's, York's Peppermint Patties and the bags you can get at the supermarket.  So when I saw these glass pearls, I knew exactly what I was going to do with them:

Peppermint Cream Set

 The necklace features alternating clotted cream and teal coloured glass pearls, which vary in size (obviously you have to have more cream than peppermint!).  The pendant is a beautiful glass bead that I've been meaning to use for a while.  Diamond shaped with green and gold glitter swirled into white.

 I knew I couldn't use an ordinary clasp, so I used this Rhodium plated (so it won't tarnish) clasp with a turquoise rhinestone.

 The earrings are pretty simple, but stunning nonetheless.  Same design as the necklace with nickel free earwires.

Peppermint Cream Earrings

The bracelet is the one I'm most proud of.  Its design is a bit different to the necklace, as I added teal green seed beads to imitate the peppermint chips you get in some peppermint creams.

 It has another of the diamond beads as a focal and is multi-stranded to it looks more like a cuff when worn.  This is definitely one of the more elegant sets I have ever created.
